MRT Kampung Batu Station

On this day, 10 members from MTREC participated in a pre-launch visit to Phase 1 of MRT Putrajaya Line Phase 1 to get the first-hand experience on the newly built and soon to be launched 2nd MRT line in Klang Valley.

Once the participants arrived, our visit begins with a welcome speech at the concourse of Kampung Batu MRT by Mr. Leong Shen-Li, General Manager of Strategic Communications Stakeholder Relations. Then a project introduction for the MRT Putrajaya Line Phase 1 was given by Mr. Nor Saidi Muda, Construction Director for Putrajaya Line.

After that, participants were given a tour in the station to familiarise with the facilities such as toilets, prayer rooms, retail shops and more. Then, we were invited on a train ride from Kampung Batu Station to Sri Damansara Sentral Station. Participants are also briefed with the new features onboard the new Hyundai Rotem Electric Trains.

When the participants arrived at Sri Damansara Sentral Station, participants were brought to concourse level to familiarise with the location of the station including a brief introduction to the surrounding of the station with the new and more detailed locality map. A group photo with MRT Corp was taken at this station before returning to Kampung Batu Station by a train ride.

Lastly, our visit ended with a closing speech by Mr. Leong Shen-Li. All the participants received a souvenir from MRT Corp. Once again we would like to thank MRT Corp, MMC Gamuda and all the staff involved in this visit.
